PRE-CARE

Permanent make-up healed result depends on many factors, the clients skin type (oily, dry, combination), Fitzpatrick Scale skin type (very fair, fair/light, light, olive, olive or dark and dark), clients health, diet and skin PH (the way the skin heals will depend on the PH of the skin) and any medications the clients on etc.

Please be off Accutane or any prescribed acne medication for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year. NO EXECPTIONS to this rule!

Botox and fillers should be done (30 days) 1 month prior to your procedure (or better yet after) so the Botox has time to settle in
-
No sun tanning (30 days) 1 month before your procedure
-
Please discontinue use of any brow hair growth products (Latisse) for (30 days) 1 month prior to your procedure as it can cause sensitivity and affect pigment

Please avoid having any chemical peels, micro-dermabrasion, mesotherapy, or any other intense treatments at least (21 days) 3 weeks before your procedure
-
Within (14 days) 2 weeks before your procedure please stop using acidic products such as Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), Glycolic or Salicylic Acid
-
Retin-A or Retinol need to be discontinued at least (7 days) 1 week prior to your procedure.

Any brow tinting should be done (7 days) 1 week prior to your procedure
-
Please do not take Aspirin, Fish Oil, Nutritional Shakes, Hair & Nail Supplements, Niacin, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen (Advil) or any blood thinners for (3 days) 72 hours prior to the procedure. Tylenol is fine.

No electrolysis for at least 5 days prior to your procedure

You can have your eyebrow area waxed or threaded 3 days prior to your procedure
-
No alcohol 24 hours before your procedure
-
No coffee or energy drinks on the day of your procedure
-
It would be a good idea to wash your hair the day of, prior to your procedure to limit the time spent in the shower and avoid steam for the next few days
-
Where possible, try to avoid the following herbs and spices prior to your appointment: Black pepper, Cardamom, any member of the Zingiberaceae (Ginger) family, Cayenne, Cinnamon, Garlic, Horseradish, Mustard

Being on menstrual cycle can cause hyper sensitivity and the procedure could be painful
-
Hormone therapies can affect pigmentation and/or cause sensitivity
-
For Lip Micropigmentation: If you are prone to cold sores please take their prescribed anti-viral medication (Valtrex) 2 days prior, day of and 2 days post procedure to prevent a an outbreak
AFTERCARE

Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen directly on the treated area
-
Keep your hair away from your face
-
No facials, Botox, Laser, Microdermabrasion, Chemical treatments or peeling and/or any creams containing Retin-A or
-
Glycolic Acid on the face or neck for 4 weeks following the procedure
-
Do not use any cleanser or facial products of any kind, no ointments antibiotic creams or gels or vitamin creams over the brow/lip area - as it will draw out the pigment
-
Avoid intense sweaty exercise for 1 week
-
Avoid long, hot-steamy showers for the first 10 days, keeping your face out of the hot water while showering
-
CAREFULLY wash treated area with cleansing wipes/gentle soap (Cetaphil) & room temperature water (distilled, spring or filtered water), pat dry and apply aftercare gel
-
Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days
-
Avoid performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris
-
Avoid facedown swimming, hot tubs, fast boats, motorcycles, etc. for the first 10 days
-
Avoid drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
-
Avoid smoking
-
Avoid picking, pulling or scratching scabs in treatment area, during the healing process
-
Use a fresh pillowcase when sleeping
-
Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after treatment. Wear a hat or stay in shade when outdoors
-
Lip Micropigmentation: avoid eating spicy food and drink using a fresh clean straw (hold straw with teeth)

Permanent Eyeliner:
-
Do not use mascara until outer healing is complete
-
Do not wear contact lenses at least 24 hours
-
Have sunglasses available
-
Do not dye, perm, or use an eyelash curler for 2 weeks
-
Eyes will be puffy and swollen for a few days
-
Eyes may feel dry or irritated
-
No eyelashes serums or growth stimulation, those products might cause pigment migration
